mixed feelings about my stay
good locationnight noisedated room
the location was pretty good. it was close to most things i wanted to see.
The noise at night was a real problem. music blasted until 3 am some nights, and the bass vibrated through the windows, it made sleeping really difficult. the room itself was small and dated. It didn't look like the pictures online. the shower also lacked hot water consistently, it was a real annoyance.

the staff carried my bags to my room. the receptionist greeted me warmly and spoke english fluently. the pool area provided a nice space. i enjoyed reading in the quiet library on the upper terrace. the breakfast offered a great variety. the turkish breakfast stood out as one of the best i've had in years. close proximity to the beach and restaurants was convenient. visiting the aquarium proved worthwhile. i found the black mall for shopping a cheaper alternative to other locations. it had five storeys, a garden terrace, and eateries.
The hotel stands on a steep hill, which can be a bit challenging to navigate. service at reception felt efficient. it lacked a warm personal touch.

The room they give me, a 'standard double or twin room' i think it was, felt more like a storage closet. the furniture looked seriously tired and the bathroom needed a major overhaul. also, the noise at night was terrible. Some nearby bars kept playing music until like 3 am. i had to use earplugs every night, and even then it was hard to sleep. at least they could invest in some double glazing windows. next time i'll make sure to find a more quiet neighborhood.
